The Montessori Sandpaper Letters (without sandpaper) from Criações Encantadas were designed to support early language learning in preschool.
While maintaining the original pedagogical structure, but replacing the abrasive surface with a much more comfortable finish, these boards offer an accessible sensory experience even for children with tactile hypersensitivity — something very common in early education.
Each plaque is produced in 4 mm MDF , with vowels in blue and consonants in red , following the traditional Montessori code. The lettering is laser-cut , creating a smooth and precise line that guides the correct hand movement, promoting fluid tracing and memorization of the shape.
The letter “a” measures 13 × 15.5 cm , and all other letters are produced proportionally to the chosen typeface — ensuring visual and ergonomic uniformity.
